In this Role, your responsibilities will Be:Design of tooling such as: drills, reamers, shell cutters, jigs and fixtures, and production tooling: die casting molds, injection molds and casting tools.Perform design reviews to ensure tooling design meets customer and plant expectations.Primary contact with external suppliers in the construction of new contracted tooling.Provide production support when required.Perform and monitor all tooling plan updates and revisions.Provide technical support to Tool crib regarding cutting tools.Participate in safety kaizen.Support maintenance area in the fabrication and/or repair of damaged parts.Assembly and adjustment of tooling when required.Support any area of the plant in repairs or fabrication.Perform tool testing to maximize tool life.Exercise and promote the 5's+1 in the area.Quality control and tool evaluation.Who you are:Makes sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information.Is effective in a variety of communication settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.Persists in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.Readily takes action on challenges, without unnecessary planning.For this role, You Will Need:5 to 8 years of direct experience in tool design and manufacturing (Fixture, clamps, scantlings).Knowledge and ability in 3D design in SolidWorks.CNC and Transfer machining, metal fabrication, conventional machines, tooling and vises.Critical thinking skills are a must.Preferred qualifications that set you apart:Transfer machines or CNC.Our Offer to you:Benefits At Emerson we offer a competitive benefits package to recognize and support our employees.Dedication with Diversity and Equal Opportunity.
