.International Lawyer (Spanish speaking) - LeedsJob IntroductionThe Office of the General Counsel ('OGC') at DAC Beachcroft is recruiting for an international Lawyer qualified in a Spanish speaking jurisdiction or a Spanish speaking Solicitor.The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to colleagues in our international offices – in particular our Latin American and Spanish offices - working on a wide range of international topics, including but not limited to: (i) contractual work (ii) financial crime, (iii) anti-money laundering, (iv) horizon scanning, (v) data protection, (vi) supplier on-boarding, (vii) corporate governance and (viii) risk management.The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and adaptability to different cultures.Training, supervision and guidance will be provided by our multinational team.Working hours: 35 hours a week.Although the role is based in the Leeds office, DACB now operates its Flex-Forward way of working, which means the successful candidate will agree with their line manager an appropriate split of time between office and home based working.Role ResponsibilityDrafting and reviewing of contracts with international elements in both English and Spanish.Assisting Locations Heads, Money Laundering Reporting Officers, and Data Protection Officers, as required.Assisting the international offices' Company Secretaries with filing or regulatory obligations as required from time to time.Assisting with various aspects of DACB's ongoing projects to expand its international offering.Assisting with the preparation of reports for the General Counsel and wider DACB management.Horizon scanning for legislative and regulatory changes that may affect our international business; and, putting forward ideas and potential solutions to address them.Assisting with the development and upkeep of the international framework of policies.Researching a wide variety of topics in relation to the above listed topics as applicable in various jurisdictions.Drafting, organising, distributing and (where applicable) completing due diligence questionnaires.Translating of OGC material to harmonise the Group's compliance requirements and to promote the framework in which the Group operates.The Ideal CandidateWill have a law degree, legal qualification or relevant experience in a Spanish or English speaking jurisdiction.Will be able to communicate persuasively in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.Enjoys a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.Confident and proactive, with excellent organisational and communication skills.Able to work under pressure, and efficiently manage time to meet evolving business needs.Enjoys research, critical analysis and new challenges.Able to analyse complex information, and present findings in a concise way.Excellent attention to detail
