**_Main activities:_**
- Drive the adoption of Devops and Agile practices across the Mexico Insurance Technology estate, leading and managing development teams in distribution and manufacturing
- System owner & engineering leadership of all IT services to support the Insurance business in Mexico.
- Drive the successful and on time of the development of IT projects within budget, with specific focus on digital transformation and foundational product manufacturing capabilities.
- Manage the relationship with senior business stakeholders across the Mexico and the Regional/Global insurance business, including CEO, COO & CRAO
- Lead Devops/Agile teams to ensure the successful development and implementations of IT projects
- Provide technical leadership for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of highly complex and critical HSBC IT systems to regional or local business units
- Manage staff development, assessment, training, motivation, discipline, recruitment and retention to assist the team in promoting the highest professional standards within the development environment
Requirements
- Experience and knowledge on Insurance products in Mexico market, particularly Life Insurance.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of a variety of new and old technologies and architecture patterns: inc. Oracle, Cloud, iSeries, COBOL, Java, SOA.
- At least 15 years of working experience on IT work, 5 - 8 years in management/leadership capacity.
- Proven record to drive Best Practices, DevOps and Agile.
- Proven record in directing and coordinating large scale projects and delivery within time, resources and budget constraints.
- Strong people skills (change agent, decision making, influencing, management, communication)
- Manage all IT deliverables within Group's guideline e.g. fitting the TOM, comply with Global Standards, meeting Audit expectations.
