SUMMARY
The IT OT Engineer is a role that requires an individual with a strong technical background, as well as an ability to work with the IT organization and operations management to align priorities and plans with key business objectives.
This position is responsible to provide required technical support, software upgrades, optimizing performance of all end user computers and Shopfloor solutions for the factory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Software upgrades, license management, performance management and other duties as assigned in the support of the MES environment and end user computers.
- Installing and configuring computer equipment such as laptops, desktop PC, servers, telephone, etc.
- Repair and/or replace equipment, as necessary.
- Drive to resolution problem tickets reported by customers, provide technical support.
- Participate in on-call rotation, urgent issue solution and MES promotions during non
- business hours; test and validate to ensure availability of systems upon production startup.
- Support testing and deployment of MES solution throughout the Juarez Campus.
- Work closely with manufacturing engineering and other technical teams in the resolution of issues and the design and delivery of additional solutions or enhancements.
- Participate in the MES Project meetings providing solutions and supporting requirements.
- Responsible to guarantee high availability for MES solutions.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- Good knowledge of industrial engineering, manufacturing, and lean process.
- Good Knowledge of industrial printers, RFID readers, PLCs, HMIs, etc.
- Passion for innovation and digitalization; creative, curious, and problem solver.
- Basic skills in administering MS Windows Server environments.
- Basic skills in software development.
- Basic understanding of MES systems functionality and connectivity.
- Analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross functional partnerships to make effective decisions.
- Ability to communicate problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to customers and management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechatronic, Electromechanical) or Information Technology.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment connectivity or similar position.
- Experience in a factory environment and knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Experience in delivering on-site manufacturing software implementations.
- Understanding of PLC functions and ladder logic.
- Demonstrated skills with OPC environments, specifically Kepware or OPC Router software.
- Knowledge of MES systems functionality and connectivity requirements.
- Bilingual English - Spanish.
