Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Jr Cost Accountant.
**What you'll do**:
**Job summary**
As part of the Finance group, this position will be responsible proper accounting of the balance sheet and P&L for multiple ledgers and legal entities, in accordance with Eaton Financial Policy, Mexican GAAP and US GAAP. As well as ensuring compliance with statutory, fiscal and ax requirements for Mexican legal entities. In addition, it will maintain and foster good customer and supplier relationship by providing both timely billing of product, payment of invoices, and problem resolution.
**Job responsibilities**
- Measure and explain all variances, including PPV, scrap, material, and all other variances.- Reconcile inventory (perpetual records to General Ledger), Supply explanations for variances and put systems in place to assure these variances are not repeated.
- Develops and implements key metrics to achieve desired behavior from team.
- Assist in annual profit plan by providing inventory, Variances account, MemoRows
- Review routers and BOMs for accuracy and adherence to Eaton Financial Policy
- Update standard costs according to Eaton Financial Policy
- Conduct and report results of all special projects assigned by the Controller and/or self-initiated on a timely basis along with proper conclusions and recommendations
- Documentation of systems, processes, and procedures used in Cost Accounting
- Conduct Annual Physical Inventory per Eaton Policy
- Understand and maintain the standard cost system, assure accuracy of standards.
- Conduct the Annual Standard Cost roll" #LI-DG2
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor degree in business, accountant, finance or similar
- 3-5 Experience in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting is a plus
- Intermediate English Skills
**Technical knowledge**
- Forcing Low Knowledge, knowledge of US GAAP -preferred, SAP knowledge will be a plus, Working knowledge of electronic data processing systems as well as strong knowledge of spreadsheet software packages, Knowledge of Accounts Receivable, credit and collection and general accounting that enables the incumbent to solve daily and high exposure problems, Knowledge US GAAP & MEX GAAP & SOX
