To know more about us click here. Mission of this role: The mission of this role is to provide a quality product that meets project specifications. Lead efforts in the identification and quantification of system requirements. Provide technical assistance to project teams to ensure they deliver on cost, quality, schedule, and technical goals. Responsible for defining and connecting pieces across different functional elements within a regulated environment, leveraging technical knowledge and engineering tools and methodologies. Expected to apply deep domain knowledge while participating in discussions of product strategy, design, and implementation. Responsible for managing complex system engineering projects and reviewing other system engineering projects in a quality control role as needed. Responsible for the creation of Systems Requirements Documents, support the technical design reviews, and provide design support as per product specifications. Works to guide the software development processes - architecture design, test reviews, cybersecurity reviews and network issues, and OEM Vehicle FMEA in accordance with customer requirements. Key Objectives of this role: Develop and maintain an integrated, domain-oriented, conceptual enterprise data model representing essential data produced and consumed across the enterprise. Develop reference architecture for high performance and scalability for data integration, modeling, visualization layer, infrastructure, etc. Continuously evolving Business Intelligence and Reporting roadmap and consolidation of reporting platforms, including Data modeling and visualization. Define templates for branding and ensure that the look of any family of dashboards and reports is consistent and recognizable. Key Performance Indicators: Project Deadlines Adherence: Ability to meet project deadlines for embedded system development, including milestone completion and overall project delivery within scheduled timelines. Product Performance: Evaluate the performance of embedded systems developed, including factors like speed, efficiency, reliability, and resource utilization. Documentation Accuracy and Completeness: The quality and completeness of technical documentation produced, including design documents, user manuals, API documentation, and release notes. Key Year One Deliverables: Problem-solving Skills: Ability to effectively analyze and solve technical problems encountered during project work. This can be evaluated through their approach to troubleshooting, the time taken to resolve issues, and the effectiveness of their solutions. Customer Satisfaction: Feedback from internal or external stakeholders to gauge satisfaction with program execution. Project Contribution: Effectiveness of contribution to project objectives, such as completing assigned tasks, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality work products. Qualification, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree and 6 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience. 4+ years of automotive software development/Systems. Experience in Requirements Management tools like Rational Doors, Teamcenter Systems Engineering. Good knowledge of requirement management processes (SPICE, CMMI, Agile) methods and tools. Exposure to Automotive Embedded Development and Testing tools (IDE, Vector CAN tools like CANoe, SAINT). Experience in experimental techniques, statistical analysis & engineering investigation techniques. Knowledge of automotive and domain features and different functions. Familiarity with continuous improvement and build processes. Understanding of the electrical circuit diagrams/ Layouts. Good hands-on Requirements Management tools (like DOORS, Polarion), Design tools (like EA), Configuration management tools (like Plastic SCM, GIT), and tracking tools like JIRA. Preferred: Understanding of ASPICE process. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development process is desirable. Able to share information, written, oral, and in presentation form, clearly and accurately. Compliance with Engineering processes. Engineering discipline awareness. Estimation, Planning, and Risk management. Defects and Change Management. Product line knowledge. System integration tools (Simulation, Modeling, Measurement). System definition tools (Requirements Management, Model-Based, Architecture). Knowledge of vehicle network topology. Proactive Stakeholder Management. Understanding of Visteon Business Operating System (VBOS) & Product Development & Delivery System (VPDS) relative to role.
