**About the team**:
Our legal team provides key support for all TikTok's innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The TikTok team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright and capable legal professionals to join the team. One of the critical challenges is the need for our team to provide exceptional legal support for privacy matters involving TikTok. The following describes the responsibilities and requirements for the role.
**Responsibilities**:
As part of a full monetization legal team, you will primarily support our Mexico and Latin America sales function by:
- serving as the main legal advisor for Mexico's Ad Sales business, managing monetization legal issues in Mexico and other LatAm engaging with multiple internal stakeholders;
- Leading contract negotiation and management of ad sales transactions. Including drafting and reviewing a range of advertising agreements including insertion orders, sales partnership agreements, bespoke campaign agreements with advertising agencies, and other agreements related to the company's ad sales business;
- engaging strong analytic capabilities to advise on monetization products, legal risks, business strategies and other issues related to ad sales, commercial incentives and ad content creation;
- identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and procedures and develop and implement strategies to scale and standardise the use of legal resources;
- building trust, collaborating effectively and driving strong relationships with regional and local crossfunctional teams
- providing legal training to the Latin America Ad Sales team as needed. Including creating templates, resources (playbooks) and training materials for media;
- building processes, policies and workflows to support an efficient and robust ads program.
- Assist with general transactions, marketing and other commercial legal matters as needed.
**Qualifications**:
Minimum qualifications
- Either (1) a law degree, or (2) a Juris Doctorate from a Mexican law school; (3) and a Master of Laws (LLM).
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English is required.
- Strong knowledge of the Latin America technology industry, digital advertising market, as well as advertising laws and policies
- Strong negotiating and drafting skills. You will be comfortable taking the lead in negotiations, in particular for media sales contracts and media trading contracts, in addition to ancillary agreements such as brand collaborations, sponsorships, agency, production and creator engagement opportunities;
- Strong commercial acumen across a range of digital advertising matters and be comfortable taking commercial decisions and working closely with senior sales, marketing and creative leads in Mexico
- Highly organized and energetic, able to navigate a fast-paced environment and be highly responsive to deadline-oriented clients.
- Must be a pragmatic, business-oriented problem solver who is driven to do better than the status quo.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience counseling marketing business teams, leading the drafting and negotiation of marketing and vendor contracts including MSA and SOWs, and conducting marketing content review is a plus.
- Fluency in Portuguese is a plus.
- Experience in a technology company or digital advertising industry is strongly preferred. Experience of supporting digital platforms is a plus.
