Create and implement strategies to promote supply chain excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.Develop the Supply Chain procedures and policies (in conjunction with corporate) and KPI targets for the organization's strategic plan.Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of the supply chain.Involvement with S&OP Planning, forecasting, and inventory management.Negotiate with asset-based providers including parcel, LTL, and truckload services, 3PLs, freight forwarders, drayage services, customs brokers, and warehouse providers to ensure the most competitive pricing.Conduct RFQs and RFPs as appropriate and understand pricing structures including contract pricing, FAKs, and relevant accessorials.Monitor all inbound and outbound freight using available resources including TMS and carrier portals.
Drive improved on-time performance across all services and communicate exceptions proactively.Audit freight-related invoices to ensure accuracy and cost containment.Manage freight claims from initial review to submission and collection.
Pursue activities that reduce exposure to claims loss and liability.Liase with Customer Service and Sales teams to expedite and manage shipment requirements, including adherence to customer routing guides.Work with Purchasing and Sourcing teams to ensure timely delivery from global suppliers.
Monitor freight forwarder websites to identify exceptions and resolve issues.Conduct business reviews with various suppliers following scorecard development to ensure quality, cost, and service are maintained.Responsible for the review of monthly PPV and Costing reviews, and updates to cost files relating to Freight, Material, and Tariffs.Analyze monthly Freight cost and DIO reports and track cost of sales percentage performance to corporate goals.Oversight of Demand Planning execution to material requirements.Manage corporate requirements for Supplier documentation and certification.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.5 plus years of Supply Chain or Logistics management experience required.Experience in an MRP/ERP environment.Five plus years of Procurement/Sourcing experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in the manufacturing industry related to USMCA and IMMEX.#J-18808-Ljbffr
