Job Description
Plan, organize, and supervise short-, medium-, and long-term activities in the logistics area, from demand planning, execution of purchase orders to suppliers, transits, storage, custody, preparation, packaging, and dispatch of customer orders. Responsible for the correct control and availability of inventory, inputs and outputs, in accordance with the company's policies, and based on the service promise established to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and control operational and strategic activities related to material purchases, import and export, flow and storage, stock and warehouse management, distribution, transportation and logistics, invoicing and customer service in their coverage area, in order to comply with cost planning, meet sales orders and delivery times
- Manage the supply network, from the planning, execution and control of all the operations carried out within the supply chain with the aim of offering the highest possible satisfaction to the customer. This process includes everything from the production request, the storage of products from suppliers or manufacturers, to the inventory of the goods and preparation for consumption and invoicing
- Be able to integrate operations at the level of material flows and information flows,
covering the entire radius of suppliers, the production site, logistics operators, points of sale and end customers
- Ensure that customer demand is met at all times, with sufficient stock or production capacity to match product supply and demand
- Manage through planning, control and efficiency evaluation, the means of transport used, organize the resources demanded by the transport of goods, and make sure that storage, distribution and transport meet the needs of the company
- Review the forecasts for the purchase of material for the commercial process, as applicable; from planning, quoting, purchase order, transportation logistics, compliance with customs regulations, reception and storage
- Manage material planning and maintain control (physical and administrative) of inventory and import and export activities
- Supervise the reception, registration and storage of products entering and leaving the Warehouse for any reason (return, purchase, marketing, samples, etc.).
- Respond to the activities of Supply Chain, development of service providers, Customs Broker, Freight Forwarder, Customs Warehouse and Transporters, purchases of direct and indirect materials of services and Logistics products
- Respond to Logistics (inbound and outbound), storage and stock availability, in order to meet the established performance levels
- Supervise that the billing of the services provided by the company to customers is in accordance with the policies and guidelines established for the recovery of cash in a timely manner
- To ensure and maintain harmonious relations between the Company and the Clients in the attention to them
- Manage contact with suppliers and possible contracts with them, including insurance and others
- Document the processes and procedures in their charge. Maintain control of documentation and files necessary for the attention and compliance with local and foreign legislation
- Assume the operational role, when the operation requires it
- Pay attention to internal and external audits
Note: The warehouse, the inventory, and the management of storage, custody, preparation and dispatch, are the total responsibility of the logistics process and it is part of its functions to take all the necessary measures to guarantee its control and safeguarding, the logistics area must maintain the inventory without shortages, except for those of origin and have and present all the receipts that justify them, otherwise,
it accepts the collection of the shortcomings that through the corresponding discounts
Qualifications
- 5-8 years with areas of expertise in foreign trade, logistics, supply chain
- High fluency in English
