Job Title: Lead Mainframe Developer
Infosys is seeking a Lead Mainframe developer who has worked on Mainframe, Cobol, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2 (Stored procedures, Native SP, SQL). This position will primarily be responsible for interfacing with key stakeholders and applying technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. The role involves creating high-level design artifacts, delivering high-quality code deliverables for a module, leading validation for all types of testing, and supporting activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Experience working in Mainframe, Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM.
- Experience working in DB2 (Stored procedures, Native SP, SQL).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Mainframe Technologies is preferred.
- Experience in COBOL, CICS and DB2 is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in Cobol DB2 and CICS Application programming.
- At least 2 years of experience in VSAM and JCL.
- At least 4 years of experience in software development life cycle (waterfall and agile).
- Strong Analytical & design skills.
- Ability to lead activities related to requirements elicitation,
creation and review of design, provide pseudo code to the team, assign and review tasks, mentor individuals.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
- Ability to work in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
Insurance background is mandatory and healthcare insurance experience would be an added advantage.
The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
