This role will be responsible for overseeing month-end close, reviewing actual results, ensuring that all deliverables are completed timely and accurately and signing off on necessary close requirements. Successful Accounting Managers have a desire to gain a deep understanding of the business, maintain a customer service mindset towards the various Corporate Functions with whom there is regular interaction, and propose process improvements and standardization to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness within the finance organization.Your Role AccountabilitiesOversee the month end close process to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness, including the review of journal entries and supporting documents to ensure accurate reporting to the GL in Peoplesoft and/or Oracle.Manage a team of several Senior Accountants/Accountants including their day-to-day activities, deliverables, holidays and career path, and assist with team administration: feedback, development, and training.Manage and own assigned tasks and processes within revenue accounting, applying US GAAP knowledge.Review account reconciliations, analysis, and certifications in Cadency.Lead adhoc and/or special projects, as needed, but expected on a regular basis.Responsible for ensuring proper internal controls are in place and all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP and established SOX requirements and procedures.Build, foster, and maintain good working relationships with finance/operations business partners to provide support to key stakeholders.Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.Qualifications & ExperiencesMinimum of 6 years of accounting experience required and a strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, and relevant local GAAP as required.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role in accounting/finance.BS/BA in Accounting from an accredited university.Strong desire to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and other relevant performance metrics.Self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, deadline-oriented.Mental agility to prioritize and execute independently in a fast-paced environment
