**About the Role**The Uber Freight Manager, Carrier Management leads a team of Carrier Managers who work directly with specific accounts/customers. The Manager will ensure that the Carrier Managers are providing strategic value, to their customers, through end-to-end route guide management (managing carrier performance, supporting operational excellence, and procuring carrier capacity). The Manager, Carrier Management will also manage and build the relationships with the top Uber Freight strategic carriers.- Participate and lead Carrier Management strategies including but not limited to: network RFP's, carrier procurement, carrier KPI's compliance, touchless execution (EDI, MacroPoint, RC, etc), carrier contracting, and market intelligence.- Leverage UF network carrier relationships.- Utilize analytics to drive decision making.- Stay apprised of business needs, changes, opportunities, and customer expectations.- Work with internal customers to develop tailored procurement and carrier management solutions according to customer needs.- Participate in customer presentations/communications.- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the performance of the position and the team.- Clearly communicate organization's strategic objectives and team/individual performance metrics.- Engage Employees as business partners on a regular basis to discuss career development, current performance, and training opportunities (cross-account, cross-functional, etc.) Ensure team development and growth aligns with corporate development goals.**Basic Qualifications**- College degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineer or related.- 2+ years of people management experience & 3+ years in carrier procurement, carrier management or related jobs.- Proficient in English & Spanish (written and verbal).**Preferred Qualifications**- Understanding of transportation cost structure and truckload market knowledge domestic and cross-border.- Ability, willingness, and determination to conciliate with customer and carrier contacts.- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, able to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and action.- Capability to envision and implement new concepts/strategies.- Proven ability to communicate and partner with different internal teams and external customers at all levels.- Simultaneous management of multiple tasks.**About Uber Freight
