Manager, Systems Design Verification (Hybrid)

Job Title: Manager, Systems Design VerificationDepartment: Systems Engineering COEPosition Overview: Insulet is looking for enthusiastic, team-focused individuals to help test products for the diabetes-care industry and gain experience in a fast-growing medical device company in the greater Boston area. The Manager, Systems Design Verification, will play a key role in the technical design and development of Insulet's products by supporting all phases of the Design Verification Process. Responsibilities include managing projects and resources, high-level technical planning, and orchestration of interactions from a Design Verification perspective. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Systems Design Verification, within the Systems Engineering COE at Insulet's Headquarters in Acton, MA. Job responsibilities will be split between Acton and Billerica locations.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and lead an engineering team responsible for defining system-level verification testing.Establish strategic plans, objectives, and deliverables for team members.Plan, prepare, and execute System Level Testing for assigned projects.Develop tools and methods for testing, analyzing data, and tracking progress.Drive optimizations in test processes to increase test coverage and efficiency.Leverage verification best practices to minimize testing time and sample sizes.Lead hiring and staffing decisions to improve team effectiveness.Lead recruitment and interview activities to fill gaps in capabilities.Conduct evaluations and train new staff members.Skills and Qualifications:Team LeadershipTime and Schedule ManagementBudgetingConflict ResolutionProblem-SolvingCommunicationEducation and Training:B.S. or higher degree in Engineering or related fieldExperience with PDMStrong experience with Systems Verification2 years of managerial experience with different projects2 years of experience in the Medical Device IndustryM.S. in engineering or related field considered a plusUnderstanding of Design Controls and their implication for V&V testingPhysical Requirements:Some travel expected (less than 10%)Hybrid working arrangements available#J-18808-Ljbffr
