At Xylem, you will have the opportunity to solve water by participating in our paid Volunteer Program, Xylem Watermark!**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.- Manage projects for capacity expansion and introduction of new equipment to production lines.- Act as first level escalation point to address manufacturing challenges- Lead efforts to initiate both permanent manufacturing changes as well as temporary allowances- Coordinate with internal Xylem cross functional teams as well as with Flextronics teams- Define and implement manufacturing process from new product launch to full release- Provide and review hourly capacity through cycle time analysis- Document and maintain process maps and design of floor layout- Create, modify, and review manufacturing work instructions- Assist to maintain previously designed and deployed manufacturing equipment- Continuously refine and improve manufacturing processes, methods, and metrics to ultimately reduce product cost- Identify, analyze, root cause, and initiate corrective action when product design failures are uncovered in process- Lead/Partner with LSS (Lean Six Sigma) counterparts for continuous improvement initiatives and cost savings opportunities.- Analyze and quantify data to resolve process, test, and operational issues.- Participate in DFx (Design for manufacturability/assembly) reviews**QUALIFICATIONS**:- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish- Knowledge and experience with Product/Process Engineering and in a factory environment- Understanding of IPC (Institute of Printed Circuit Board) standards and PCBA manufacturing processes- Experience with Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Lean Six Sigma concepts- Ability to lead meetings, manage projects, and communicate effectively with cross-functional groups.- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills- Self-motivated; able to demonstrate initiative and operate independently- Desire and ability to learn new tools and design techniques- Ability to evaluate and make recommendations on cost control, reliability, and manufacturability issues- Display organizational and leadership skills in a project team environment- Leadership experiences or background with project management a plus
