The Manufacturing Quality Sr. Engineer shall maintain the Quality level targets and implement the Quality improvement initiatives to ship defect free Products to the Customers.
Responsibilities: Responsible to manage the quality performance KPIs of the production environment to ensure defect free products to Landis+Gyr customers aligned with on-time delivery.Apply fundamental quality standards and procedures for processing materials into partially finished or finished products at the production environment.Execute continuous improvement/green belt initiatives through trend management methodology aligned to the Zero defect initiative.Responsible to assist with customer communication (root cause analysis, corrective actions and required certificates).Identify and communicate improvements early in the product development process.Maintain, present, and act upon production environment quality metrics.Key Performance Indicators: Drive the production environment to achieve all relevant KPIs:First Pass Yield (FPY)PPM PerformanceCAPA TATManagement of Blocked Inventory DollarsComplete and timely PPAP execution/submissionAct as primary representative for all areas internal and external audits.NPI support through PPAP Quality Plan creation and execution.Core Area of Responsibility/Accountability: Apply fundamental quality standards, procedures and follow Landis+Gyr policies.Responsible to drive the manufacturing production line to ensure capable processes and best in class results in Quality.Responsible to manage & report KPIs as required.Responsible to perform all PPAPs on time according to Project schedules and complete quality activities, including transfers to the manufacturing environment.Participate as technical resource for supplier transfers as necessary.Execute the Zero defects initiative by implementing corrective actions at the source.Apply fundamental statistical tools and techniques in quality control and reliability activities.Lead and participate in Quality internal/external Audits and manage findings/observations to closure.Responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing poka-yokes in the process.Lead cross-functional Trend Management efforts to address top production defects issues through ongoing continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.Resolve and communicate customer quality issues through root cause analysis methodology.Develop plans and manage Green Belt level quality process continuous improvement activities.Drive/Lead CAPAs or Six Sigma Projects to closure as required.Maintain all applicable testers to support quality processes as required.Lead/participate in final material dispositions to reduce inventories.Execute tooling quality validations to achieve quality at the source.Execute root cause analysis by using quality tools and techniques such as PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, DMAIC, Six Sigma, pareto analysis, Ishikawa diagrams, Cpk, SPC, and 8D/SCAR/CAPA.Responsible to review and approve ECOs/Dev as required.Work seamlessly across applicable departments to ensure full visibility of process and potential critical issues and drive effective solutions, if needed trigger escalation process.Supervise and train personnel as required.Actively lead/participate in meetings as required.Any other specific work activity that the manager determines as necessary.Work according to the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9001, 45001, 14001, 27001, and 22301.Required Experience: Required minimum years of experience: 3 years.Required minimum Level of Education: Bachelor Degree in Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering (desired) or equivalent/similar to Electrical/Industrial/Mechanic Engineer or equivalent.Capable of reading and understanding technical documents.Strong understanding of statistics as related to manufacturing process control; Control Charts, Cpk, SPC, Mini Tab 6-pack.Strong Manufacturing experience in Lean, Six-Sigma, DMAIC, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, CAPA, Control plans, SCAR, Gage R&R.Knowledge of manufacturing process: PCBA, Molding, Stamping, Die Cast, assembly, testing, others.Knowledge of measurement tool and techniques (vernier, height gauges, optical comparator, multimeter, LCR, gauges, oscilloscope, CMM, 3DScan, etc).Knowledge and ability to perform root cause analysis at raw material, sub-assembly, assembly levels for Mechanical/electrical products.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet timelines.Strong problem solving skills and ability to drive to final resolution.Capable of using Microsoft Office and Mini Tab.GD&T/IPC-A-610 as applicable.ESD Control.SAP or equivalent ERP System.Auditor.Self-Starter - Ability to work independently.Proactive.Leadership.Excellent spoken and written communication.Required Skills: Communicating Effectively.Problem Solving and Making Decisions.Leadership.Quality Management.Analytical Methods.If you have the drive and enthusiasm to accept this challenge and to work in a very dynamic, cross functional and international environment, we are looking forward to meeting you.
