After the Backyard's Samara interiors and exteriors are finished in the factory, each unit is loaded onto a truck and sent directly to a customer's property in the United States.Description:The Master Production Planner is responsible for creating and managing the master production schedule (MPS), ensuring that production and inventory levels are aligned with customer demand while optimizing manufacturing and procurement operations.
The role requires a strong understanding of MRP, supply chain management, and forecasting methods to ensure that production processes run efficiently and effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesMaster Production Scheduling (MPS)Develop, maintain, and manage the master production schedule to meet customer demands and inventory targets.Ensure the MPS aligns with sales forecasts, production capacities, and material availability.Coordinate the timing and sequencing of production orders to meet delivery deadlines.Material Requirements Planning (MRP)Analyze material requirements to support the production plan and identify potential shortages.Manage the planning of raw materials, components, and finished goods inventory, ensuring materials are available for production without excessive inventory levels.Review inventory levels and optimize stock to prevent overstock or stockouts.Capacity PlanningWork with production, logistics, and procurement teams to assess production capacity and adjust the MPS accordingly to ensure capacity is not overburdened or underutilized.Recommend adjustments to production schedules, resource allocation, and workforce planning to maximize efficiency.Collaboration and CommunicationForecasting and Demand PlanningContinuous ImprovementProblem Solving and Risk ManagementReporting and DocumentationQualificationsExperience:Typically 3–5 years of experience as Master Production Scheduler in production planning, materials management, or supply chain planning.Education:Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related.Knowledge:Strong knowledge of MRP systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (e.G., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).Certifications: CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or similar APICS certifications preferred.Proficiency with MS Excel and other planning tools.Key CompetenciesMaster Production Scheduling (MPS)Material Requirements Planning (MRP)Demand Forecasting and Inventory ManagementCapacity Planning and OptimizationSupply Chain CoordinationData Analysis and ReportingProblem Solving and Risk ManagementCross-functional CollaborationSkills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
