Materials Planner Jr

Position Summary:A material planner is responsible for managing and supervising the flow of raw materials and finished goods in an organization.This professional evaluates and plans the crucial aspects of production, including demand, supply, and manufacturing capacity.Essential Functions: Plans and orders needed material quantities within needed delivery dates Ensures good receipts according to requested delivery dates Enforces purchasing agreement dates with suppliers Ensures optimization of truck load for inbound deliveries Manage PPAP expected dates with suppliers.Coordinates efforts between purchasing, engineering, and quality.Collaborates In vendor related projects Checks order confirmations regarding price and delivery date.Works with purchasing to address discrepancies Communicates to suppliers any drawing and/or product specifications changes.Ensures and monitors that supplier received and understood changes and requirements.Ensures inventory level per agreed upon targets Monitor inventory levels and expedited material as need to avoid production line disruptions Controls inbound premium cost and ensure approval process is followed Escalate unsolved backlog issue to assure assembly line is not disrupted The employee has the authority to stop the production line, when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.Management & Supervisory Responsibilities: Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees.Knowledge: SAP/ERP Knowledge MS Office proficiency Experience: 1-2 Years of experience in MRP and ERP systems.Procurement exposure of different commodities (stampings, aluminum die casting, plastic injection, grey iron, fasteners) Effective negotiation SAP experience (preferred).What does Bendix have to offer you?- Work-life balance that includes Paid Vacation & Holiday Paid Time Off- Vacation Premium- Life insurance- Christmas Bonus- Educational assistance program- Wellness program- Saving Fund- Pantry Vouchers- Permits paid for: Marriage or Death of a direct relative- Attendance Bonuses- Cafeteria Subsidy- Subsidy for prescription glasses- Medical service in plant- Recognition programs- Gym
