**Main Responsibilities**:
- Directs day-to-day activities of a staff of engineers and technicians responsible for developing and maintaining the data and systems that drives efficient, consistent, cost-effective manufacture of current and future product while meeting all required safety and quality standards.
- Coordinates the manufacturing and/or distribution functions for planning and installation of new products, processes and manufacturing projects.
- Directs the activities of limited resources in support of specific functions (e.g. Manufacturing Engineering, Manager/Business Unit Manager) on budgets, scheduling, and tools and people resources.
- Understands the core competencies and actively pursues improving the underlying science and maintaining the discipline of standardized improving processes. Applies known technology and processes that further improve overall manufacturing quality and consistency. Provides technical assistance and troubleshooting; reviews technical feasibility of proposed solutions to engineering problems.
- Provides support, training, counsel and career development advice to employees to ensure their ongoing job satisfaction and professional development.
- Performs administrative duties related to performance management, salary pay plan, succession planning, training and development of direct reports to maintain core competencies and build new capabilities in personnel.
- Represents Operations or Manufacturing Engineering in cross-functional and inter-unit projects.
- Provides daily supervision of administrative and technical issues involving a functional group of engineers and engineering support personnel. This supervisory position provides work direction concerning cost, quality, safety, environmental and schedule of engineering work or projects to a small to medium group of up to eight direct reports in either Assembly or welding Engineering.
- Work at this level typically involves one or more competency or discipline across a small to large portion of a product or manufacturing process. Responsibilities may include working outside functional or contract group, leading small to medium sized cross-functional teams, and providing work direction to lower level Manufacturing Engineering supervisors.

- Experience in planning, organizing, and implementing engineering projects. (Less than 1 year).
