As Wood Mackenzie transitions more services to the cloud, this will involve supporting a wide variety of technologies and ways of working in the cloud. Working in partnership with technology teams across the globe, the role encompasses:Ability to keep up to date with technology trends and to understand key technical drivers in the industryImplementation, maintenance, and operation of on-premise and cloud-based networksPromotion of automationA strong focus on service availability and proactive detection of problemsMain ResponsibilitiesDeploy and manage the Network technology stack across a geographically dispersed organizationSupport and improve operational tasks covering monitoring and alerting, and incident resolutionMaintain security of the Network environments on-premise and in the cloudAssist technology drive to cloud-managed Network environment through the automation of Network tasksGeneral SupportRole will be part of a wider technology team to provide support and advice to other technology teams and business projectsRole will require you to respond to incidents and requests escalated by Service Desk or System monitor alertsRole holder will need to maintain technical Knowledge-Base documentationRole will require you to liaise with third-party support companies and service providersThe successful candidate will have a solid technical background with experience working in a Network role with an IT service departmentAccomplished analytical & decision-making skillsExperience with Cisco, Dell, HPE Aruba, Fortinet networking technologiesFamiliarity with MPLS, Zscaler, and SD-WAN networking technologiesKnowledge of IT Security fundamental concepts and practicesWe are an equal opportunities employer.
