Hughes Company, Inc. team!Position DescriptionAs a Mexico Operations Supervisor, you will assist the Operations Manager with staffing, creating a positive environment and ensuring receiving, warehousing, distribution and invoicing operations.
The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing a continuous improvement approach to the day-to-day operation and enabling efficiency and cost reduction achievement.
This role is expected to adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.Key Competencies Required to be Successful as an Operations SupervisorManage the day-to-day warehouse duties and responsibilities to meet and exceed targets; ensure all warehouse activities are performed safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and hold a high level of accountability as a leader in your division, while constantly pushing to meet targets and creating operational efficiencies.Collaborate with the management team to provide regular updates and promptly communicate any issues; provide solutions to resolve discrepancies and fulfill customer orders.Promote operational excellence and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction; perform quality assurance checks to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.Onboard and ensure new employees receive the appropriate training to effectively perform job duties; set performance goals, evaluate employee performance, and provide feedback.Manage shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.Able to meet inventory levels through proper controls and warehouse coordination.Foster a culture of transparency, disciplined problem-solving, high-performance work teams, and continuous improvement.Assist and support staff training in accordance with company requirements, as well as assist the manager where applicable.Partner with customer service, purchasing and logistics suppliers to ensure availability of products
