Position OverviewSiemens is seeking one exciting addition to our engineering leadership team. We are growing fast, and our ever-expanding team needs new leaders to help shape the future. In this role, you will support the growing systems engineering team providing more focused effort on employee development, improving customer experience, long term growth initiatives and process improvements. You will also be responsible for leading and developing a team of engineers responsible for engineering all technical aspects of customer projects.
Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day needs of the Systems Project Engineering team, including training and coaching new team members, performance evaluations, schedule management, escalation resolution, and coordination with other teams and customers.Drive long term process improvements and increase team efficiency through lessons learned analysis, creative preventive action plans and driving those plans through implementation.Mentor team members and create an environment where employees can grow and succeed in their chosen career paths.Keep the team engaged, motivated and productive.Provide hands-on technical training and support for employees as needed.Coordinate Project activities with PA US management team and scheduler.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.5 years of experience in a technical engineering role, at least 3 years of which leading projects on power systems protection, controls, or automation as a Manager, Team Lead or Project Manager of Protection and Automation projects.Strong communications skills and demonstrated presentation skills to diverse audiences.Extensive demonstrated knowledge in Substation Protection, Automation and Network communications solutions.Ability to read and fully understand DC and AC schematics, three- and one-line diagrams for Medium and/or High Voltage substations systems.Knowledge of Siemens, GE, SEL or ABB protection and automation products and associated software.Knowledge of Medium and High Voltage Protection.High and Low Impedance Busbar Differential.Line Differential and Distance Protection.Generator Protection.MV transfer schemes and reverse interlocking schemes.Communication Network Technologies knowledge for protection applications such as IEC-61850 Process Bus and GOOSE applications.Knowledgeable on communication protocols such as IEC61850, DNP, Profibus, OPC, Modbus, IEC101, IEC104.Ability to analyze customer's technical specifications regarding the application of PA products and systems, apply appropriate solutions to meet the customers' expectations in a cost-effective way on timely manner.Must be physically in Queretaro Office 5 days a week, up to 25% travel.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementSiemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
