This position reports to the Americas Payroll Leader and is responsible for payroll processes in Mexico, Canada, United States, and Puerto Rico, (working from our office in San Luis Potosí, Mexico) as well as responsible for the correct integration with the Time and Absence function.
**JOB DUTIES**
- Coordinate and execute tasks to complete data entry, data processing and payroll outputs verification on time (aligned to payroll calendar)
- Perform regular audits (and reconciliations) of payroll and employee data
- Administration of payroll outputs
- Support to costumers and stakeholders (employees, supervisors and other functions in Human Resources)
- Maintain our payroll in compliance with federal regulations and obligations like Social Security, SAT, Infonavit, Fonacot, etc.
- Manage our payroll vendors to ensure proper support to the payroll function
- Provide support to the leader of the Time and Absence function ensuring the alignment between payroll and time & absence systems in accordance with local laws and company policies Coordinate our relationship with the Information Systems (IT) function to ensure proper support to our needs. This will require your ability to translate business requirements into some level of technical requirements as well as your understanding of basic IT terminology
**YOU MUST HAVE**
- Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, Administration or any other related area
- Experience in Mexican Payroll is a must
- Understanding of common payroll concepts and formulas
- Basic knowledge of Federal, State, and Local payroll legislation as well as common payroll policies and procedures to maintain Payroll under compliance with the law
- Self-motivation while being to work with little supervision, consistently taking the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
- High level of proactivity and high sense of urgency
- Self-starter, responsive, with a customer service approach to employee needs
