In this role, you will be responsible for planning activities pertaining to production schedule creation and maintenance, material ordering, vendor management, receiving, and inventory control to meet customer requirements.
What You'll Do:
Plan and coordinate physical movement of materials, parts, finished goods, and information to ensure optimization of cost and service level.Schedule and coordinate the flow of work within or between departments to facilitate or expedite production.Distribute work orders to departments denoting number, type, and proposed completion date.Compile reports on progress of work and machine, tool, and equipment failures to inform on production delays.Carry out MRP run to explode customer requirements and generate requirements to suppliers.Schedule, track, and ensure the availability of materials for production.Develop corrective actions in case of deviation.Monitor and alert about potential risks in the supply chain that could affect the timely flow of components to the plant.Monitor and control inventory levels and coverage of the components in charge.Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
Coordinate with various departments to align production plans with demand forecasts and inventory levels.Analyze production data and key performance indicators to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance productivity and reduce costs.Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, inventory status, and other relevant metrics.Update and maintain weekly production schedule by line and schedule attainment, complete weekly cycle counts accurately, and maintain repetitive schedules to the latest revisions.Manage receipt of material at receiving entry accuracy in MRP system and ensure proper receiving inspection quality checks are performed in accordance with the product's process control plan.Sustain accurate parameters in MRP system (Lead Time, Safety Stock, etc).Skills:
