Your key responsibilities
As a member of our Digital Functional Leadership team, you will be responsible for understanding, guiding, and executing the strategic direction of digital products for our clients. You will work side by side with the client to translate their strategic vision into reality.
Skills and attributes for success
- Driving the strategic vision and roadmap of a project or product through the creation of specifications, definition and design, including journey maps, flow diagrams, feature map, user stories and/or other critical deliverables
- Mentoring an EY project team, managing relationships within the team and identifying areas of growth to build peers and more junior consultants who can learn the skills necessary to become strong managers and functional leads
- Working in project teams through agreed upon phases of project governance, assessment, requirements definition, vendor selection, risk analysis, customization, testing, training and rollout of a client's project lifecycle
- Driven by quality client delivery for your own work as well as the work of the team, actively participate and provide insight into the team staffing process
- Leading cross functional teams looking at the holistic project effort to meet both business and technical needs
- Working directly with creative, business and technical team members to identify interdependencies and define and document requirements that adhere to technical constraints
- Leading team members in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the Digital and Emerging Technology Advisory market
- Providing broad technical and functional knowledge of various key technology and business platforms
- Partnering with client technology professionals, and third-party strategic alliances to solve technical and business challenges
- Collaborating with the client to prioritize the features and user stories developed into an agile backlog; supporting the management of requirements throughout the agile development lifecycle.
- Providing guidance and coaching to client Product Owners on leading practices, coordination with key business stakeholders, as well as supporting completion of planning and day-to-day delivery activities
- Managing communication with executive clients and sponsors
- Organizing and leading pursuit teams; participating in, and leading aspects of the proposal development process
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of related work experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a digital related field (technology, design, etc.), with at least two years in a leadership role
- Minimum 4 years of experience in project management and product management, including writing user stories, crafting roadmaps, developing functional flows, maintaining a backlog and working with a scrum team
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise business processes with technology skills
- Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior consulting experience relevant to industry specific business and technology functions
- Ability to lead a team, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes in requirements
- Ability to analyze business requirements, identify gaps and define solutions to address complex business challenges
- Ability to deftly identify, manage, and track dependencies across teams and projects to manage risk
- Experience with agile or other development methodology
- Ability to travel up to 80%
Ideally, you'll also have
- Prior consulting experience highly preferred
- Experience leading cross-functional teams on large digital transformation initiatives
