As part of a small team of high caliber program managers within Oracle Applications Labs (OAL) you will manage work for a team that delivers a broad range of strategic new initiatives and provides operational support.
**Context**:

As member of the Strategic Planning & Operations organization within OAL you will oversee the Customer Data Management Program/ Release Train in the US time zone as well as manage one of three scrum teams.
While the organization is global your role will be based in Guadalajara.
This OAL hub has been constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment.
Work will be remote until the office reopens post COVID restrictions.
**Role and responsibilities**
The role is a hybrid of a classic waterfall Senior Program Manager role and that of Release Train Engineer.
You would be assigned to the Customer Data Management Program/ Release Train that will deliver new functionality and fixes of varying scope, complexity on a monthly or quarterly basis.
The work is strategic in nature and is defined in alignment with corporate level technical and business priorities.
The role and its related responsibilities will vary according to your level.
The work will include the following:
- Program roadmap planning.
- SAFe events: Program Increment (PI) planning logistics, PI Plans, PI Retrospectives, Coordinate cross team/train events.
- Agile events such as: Daily standup calls, Solution reviews, Iteration reviews, Iteration retrospectives,
- Coordinating SaaS upgrade regression testing of weekly, monthly, and quarterly upgrades and manage any issues.
- Release management of monthly and quarterly new functionality.
- Management of medium size new initiatives released within (3-6 months) or long term corporate strategic projects (9 month or more).
- Management reporting (Jira and BI).
- Agile/scrum and project management processes: Proactive lead or contribute to initiatives to enhance process and standards.
Provide guidance and mentoring to others.
The role is fluid which allows for continuous learning and contributes to an incremental solid knowledge base and career progression.
**What you need to succeed**
Must-have
- PMP certification.
- ScruMaster certification.
- Strong communication skills.
Excellent command of English.
- Bachelors' degree (Business, IT).
10 years of experience relevant to this position including: consulting and project experience.
- A minimum of 5 years in project management using a Waterfall and/or an Agile approach.
Demonstrated ability to follow/define processes.
Expertise with Project Management methodology and/or Scaled Agile Framework.
- Ability to work virtually and across time zones.
- Self-motivated, self-starter, curious and comfortable working in a matrix reporting structure with mínimal supervision.
- Analytic skills.
Ability to recognize risks, resources conflicts, or other issues and develop contingency plan or escalate to obtain help or visibility to ensure that the work remains on track to meet customer needs.
Attention to detail and ability to work through complex issues.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes with a drive for improvements and efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt within in a fast paced and frequently changing work environment.
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of Jira.
- Business Intelligence reporting knowledge
- Master degree (Business or IT).
- SQL experience.
- Understands aspects of Oracle's business.
