**Project** Description**:Large hedge fund is a private institutional investment management complex consisting of an international team of researchers and technologists who constantly work toward ever-greater quantification and automation in the development of processes**Responsibilities**:Read data vendor documentation to understand vendor's data setUse internal framework to build data downloading mechanism, write internal documents on the data and normalize the dataUse tools (shell scripts, excel, Zeppelin notebook etc.) to do initial analysis on data, find any problem and communicate with the vendor to resolve themSupport on internal questions related to data content & behavior**Skills**:Must haveIndependent thinking: need to understand vendor supplied data setsAttention on details: Vendor data sets can be simple, complex or anywhere in betweenAble to ask the right question to find problems and resolve them with the vendor or developersGood communication skills because you will be working with external vendors and internal staffKnowledge and experience with Python languageStrong understanding of command of SQLExperience working in a Linux environmentNice to haveExperience with Spark, pySpark, ETL pipelines is a plus**Languages**:Spanish: C2 ProficientEnglish: B2 Upper Intermediate**Seniority**:Senior**Relocation package**:If needed, we can help you with relocation process.Vacancy SpecializationPythonRef NumberVR-79021
