The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing investigation and root cause analysis of product failures.
Works closely with various Engineering functions (Reliability, Design, Manufacturing, etc) in a closed-loop, corrective-action process to improve product quality and reliability performance.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:- Responsible for working with cross-functional groups to coordinate strategies for meeting customer's requirements in all quality areas that also serve AE's business needs.- Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive action due customer (internal-external) complaints.- Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures.- Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system.- Interact with Engineering and Operations to ensure an appropriate transfer of new products, PPAP.- Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.- Participates in Design Reviews to ensure compliance with reliability standards and customer requirements.- Review Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission.- Perform weekly, monthly trend analysis and coordinate corrective actions with involved areas.- Defines SPC to manufacturing processes and monitor weekly and monthly performance, implement countermeasure.- Interact constantly with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Materials, Support Areas to ensure robust processes using PPAP, SPC and LEAN tools.SKILLS:- Responsible for working with cross-functional groups to coordinate strategies for meeting customer's requirements in all quality areas that also serve AE's business needs.- Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive action due customer (internal-external) complaints.- Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures.- Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system.- Interact with Engineering and Operations to ensure an appropriate transfer of new products, PPAP.- Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.- Participates in Design Reviews to ensure compliance with reliability standards and customer requirements.- Review Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission.EXPERIENCE:Essential:- Experience in Electronics Industry Preferable- Experience in Automotive Industry and/or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP),- Bachelor's degree (Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering)Preferable- Six Sigma Certification preferable- 3+ years' experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- 3+ years in quality system maintenance- English 85%- LEAN Manufacturing tools- Excellent computer skills (Statistical Software, Office -Excel-,etc)
