- Leads quality programs in areas related to design:
- Quality assurance for the introduction and transfers of new products
and processes.
- Quality assurance during the implementation of changes to products or
processes, both temporary and permanent.
- Leads quality programs for suppliers:
- Management of raw material inspection plans.
- Inspection and testing of products supplied by suppliers.
- Maintaining records of inspection and testing of product supplied by
suppliers.
- Administration of reduced reduction programs (e.g., DTS
- dock-to-stock, skip lot, sampling plans).
- Management of the NCR (non-conforming reports) process, including
identification, segregation, evaluation, disposition and immediate actions,
including RTV (return to vendor) applied to supplier-supplied non-conforming
product.
- Management of the supplier complaint generation program, including
initial communication and follow-up necessary to ensure the issue is contained,
analyzed AND corrected on an ongoing basis.
- Contribute to the review and approval of supplier requests for changes
or deviations.
- Management of supplier quality measurement process.
Experiência y requisitos
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or at least 10 years of demonstrated
equivalent experience in related disciplines.
- 10 years of experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
- 5 years of experience in "decision making" positions.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement activities (e.g.,
Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, RCA, 8D).
- Demonstrated experience in team management.
- Experience in quantitative methods and tools (e.g., SPC, process
capability, statistical inference, design of experiments).
- Experience in product and process design (e.g., APQP, PPAP, CTQ,
technical drawings and specifications, verification/validation, reliability).
- Product and process control experience (e.g., traceability, MRB,
sampling, measuring equipment, MSA, metrology, NDT).
- Experience in quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, IATF16949,
ISO13485, ISO9001).
- Risk management experience in industrial environments (e.g., SWAT,
FMEA, FRACAS).
EQMS, MiniTab).
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) in both English and
Spanish.
- Effective conflict management skills.
- Results oriented skills.
