**Your team responsibilities**

The MSCI Equity Factor Research Team is a global research group with a broad mandate to create new and innovative factors, risk models, signals, content, and analytics to be leveraged across MSCI index and analytics products and used by institutional investors worldwide. The team utilizes a variety of analytical tools and methods to conduct research, with the majority based on Python, Matlab, SQL and other MSCI products. The group works closely with other groups within research and across the firm (data, technology, product, sales) to implement the research agenda and benefit from the substantial resources and expertise available within the global MSCI organization.

**Your key responsibilities**

**Your skills and experience that will help you excel**
- Exceptional quantitative aptitude and critical thinking skills
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, linear algebra and statistics
- Excellent computer and statistical programming skills - Python and Matlab preferred, also SQL, R.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience extracting information from large amounts of data
- Experience with machine learning algorithms, data science and big data tools, unstructured data desirable but not required.
- Interest in and understanding of equity markets desired
- M.S. or advanced degree in Finance, Operations Research, Engineering, Science, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline
