Restraints D&R Engineer is responsible for the design and release of restraints components and systems for the new and current vehicles including:Managing project timing, releasing drawings and engineering specifications.Creating specific FMA Documents, DVP&R, and quality documents.Part delivery on time for each program milestone.Tracking of supplier's deliverables.Minimum and Desired Qualifications:3+ years of experience working as a design and release Engineer.Good program management skills with the ability to manage a number of assignments simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.Significant problem-solving skills previously demonstrated.Travel is required.Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.Roles and Responsibilities:Design, develop, validate, and release automotive systems, subsystems, and components for the assigned programs.Monitor the development of interior trim for Ford vehicles according to company-specific benchmarks.Design parts to comply with Corporate and Local Requirements for parts validation, considering the WCR (Worldwide Customers Requirements), ES (Engineering Specifications), and SDS (Systems Design specifications) as well as the Manufacturing and Assembly requirements.Translate customer, regulatory, and product requirements into engineering targets.Monitor suppliers and analyze customer feedback through Ford's systems.Responsible for incorporation of new designs and engineering changes at the Assembly Plant and leading discussions with involved parties including suppliers.Support suppliers and assembly departments with current production quality and manufacturing issues.Support production part approval processes (PPAP) for mass production.#J-18808-Ljbffr
