**Safety - Facilities Manager**

**Position Overview**:
The Safety and Facilities Manager will help to ensure everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws, and be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe work environment.
The Safety and Facilities Manager must also be able to discover opportunities for improving working conditions and execute safety programs.
This role will also be responsible for the management of the manufacturing facilities.
The ability to communicate guidelines to a multi-disciplinary workforce is essential.
The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.
**Desired outcomes/Principal Duties**:
- Work with the production team to create a safe working environment and prevent injuries
- Develop and execute health and safety plans and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Prepare and help enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
- Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
- Conducts post-accident investigation, safety surveys and inspections and prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
- Reports on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
- Set up and conducts safety trainings and drills
- Develop, evaluate and improve our safety programs
- Be the point of contact for facility related activities with the property manager
- Responsible for SOW & Contract agreements with Facility contractors and service companies
- Responsible for new facility plant equipment installations and upgrades and handover to sustaining teams.
- Improve Equipment monitoring through use of IOT devices
- Work with Cimpress Indirect procurement teams to identify cost saving and improvement projects
- Work with Cimpress Sustainability teams to make BAS a greener company

**Minimum Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience
- Strong understanding of health and safety laws and best practices
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience leading continuous improvement efforts
