We are currently seeking a Scheduler, reporting directly to the Planning Manager to join our Planning team based in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.About the JobAssisting the Planning and Scheduling Engineer either on Project Planning & Scheduling System implementation, maintenance & updating or on Proposal Schedule preparation by providing technical support and ensuring the Schedule and Progress actual & forecast reliability.Main accountabilities:Assists the Planning and Scheduling Engineer to develop a Schedule compliant with the selected execution strategy, to mitigate risks and reduce costs.Assists in the definition and optimization of the necessary resources Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC).Assists in the definition and setup of the Planning & Scheduling system (methods, procedures, time-schedules, physical progress, dashboards, etc.
).Assists in the definition of a realistic contract planning and schedule, which is feasible for execution.Checks adequacy between the defined Project Breakdown Structures and the needs of the Planning & Scheduling System.Increases Project team members' awareness of the Project Milestones, main durations, and critical paths.Monitors the project status to detect any delay.Assists in the preparation of Extension of Time analysis and claims.Prepares the monthly progress reports for the Client and the Internal Reporting for the Project Manager.Provides Project Feedback and Lessons Learned in order to improve the Planning & Scheduling methods and provide input to the statistics of the Planning and Scheduling Department.About YouWe'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:Qualifications: Technical degree.Experience: Fundamental experience in Project execution, Basic knowledge of activity sequencing of Engineering, Procurement and Construction, Basic knowledge of project control procedures and methods, Basic knowledge of progress measurement systems and Earned Value Analysis, Good knowledge of scheduling computer tools (i.E.
Primavera), Basic knowledge about the Global Business Process Management System (GBPMS), Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, Accuracy and attention to detail.Skills: Interprets/apply methods, systems, and procedures.
Works autonomously in his/her own scope of activities.Languages: Fluent English and Spanish
