Job Description We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a background in data projects to join our team.
This role is part of a data-heavy, AI innovation project for a top global consulting firm.
The successful candidate will guide our teams in applying Agile methodologies, ensuring the successful delivery of complex data-driven solutions.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
Proven experience managing data projects, with a strong understanding of data engineering, AI, and machine learning concepts.
Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or PMI-ACP certification is required.
Additional Agile certifications are a plus.
Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and practices, with the ability to adapt them to data-heavy projects.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with data processing, ETL processes, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Basic understanding of AI/ML technologies and data pipelines.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse teams.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Key Responsibilities: Agile Facilitation: Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Team Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts, to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals and requirements.
Impediment Removal: Identify and remove any impediments that may hinder the team's progress, ensuring that the team remains focused and productive.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess the team's Agile maturity and work with them to incrementally improve processes, practices, and performance.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
Data Project Management: Understand the unique challenges and requirements of data-heavy projects, ensuring that Agile practices are tailored to support data engineering and AI initiatives.
Metrics and Reporting: Track and communicate key Scrum metrics such as burndown charts, velocity, and team performance to stakeholders.
Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance and coaching on Agile principles and best practices to team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Additional Information Location: within Jalisco, Mexico (working from home - office won't be mandatory all the time, rather it will required from time to time).
