Our continued success depends on it!Position Overview:This position will be primarily responsible for testing various applications newly developed by the Cloud Engineering group. The position will be directly involved in building an automation framework for testing APIs and cloud-based services. This position will eventually be developing automated tests in conjunction with the development efforts.The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts for APIs. This role requires a deep understanding of API testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure the robustness and reliability of our APIs.Responsibilities:Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and ensure they are met.Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed feedback to the development team.Develop and maintain test content for automated validation tests of cloud software releases.Participate in product design reviews, data analysis, production issue debugging, and support.Participate in all Agile ceremonies.Perform other duties as required.Education and Experience:Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field; 7+ years of experience in API Testing/Automation.Preferred Skills and Competencies:Proven experience as an API Test Engineer or similar role.Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, REST & SOAP.Proficiency with API testing tools (e.G., Postman, Rest-Assured, SoapUI).Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.G., Python, Java, JavaScript).Experience with both manual and automated API testing.Familiarity with Continuous Build Systems (e.G., Jenkins, Bamboo).Familiarity with database concepts and usage.Familiarity with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.Familiarity with source control, continuous integration, and testing methods (i.E., Git, Perforce).Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Outstanding team player and proactive.Physical Requirements:
