Since our start in 2015, we've gone from a group of individuals to a community pushing toward the same goal of building a fantastic company with great people, great products, and, most importantly, a great culture.
Apptegy is building products to empower school leaders to run better schools. We are building the first marketing platform for schools. Thrillshare, our publishing platform, makes it easy for schools to share positive stories with their communities and the world.

**What we've built and are building**:
Apptegy works with thousands of schools and school districts across the United States. For the past 6 years, we've been working to make our technology a breath of fresh air. School leaders, superintendents and administrators have some of the most stressful and demanding jobs in the world. They are responsible for the safety, well being, and education of thousands of students. Every day they juggle the roles of politician, disciplinarian, visionary, and accountant.
That's why we focus on simplicity. By making everything simple, we lower the technical barrier so that any administrator can lead with the most powerful tools available.
In short, we are enabling school leaders to brand, market, and strengthen their schools. Amazing events and happenings occur in schools every day and our technology allows that to be shared across web, mobile, social media, and alerts with a single, simple-to-use tool.
**As a Test Engineer at Apptegy you will**:
- Understand stand the user experience and what matters most to them
- Design and implement API tests that hit real services in a real environment
- Design full E2E tests that simulate users and enable regression testing
- Implement the front-end tests in Selenium Web Driver
- Develop a process for reporting, metrics and dash-boarding for all test runs
- Work closely with developers to build out a holistic testing framework
- Take the lead on all things testy, both automated and manual
**Experience you should already have**:
- 5+ years of automation testing experience
- Top communication skills for both a technical and non-technical audience
- Demonstrable experience with Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, Chai or any other testing framework
- Fundamental understanding of what makes good tests both from a TDD and BDD perspective
- Also wants to do regular software development (we want that too!)
**Experience that would be nice to have**:
- Demonstrable experience with Appium or any other mobile testing framework
- Experience of front-end web and/or back end-development
