You will be working on a hybrid web & iOS squad within the Etsy Ads Initiative, passionate about ensuring visibility for Etsy sellers looking to grow their businesses.This is a full-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy's Mexico City Office Hub or in Guadalajara may be the first to be considered.

Learn more details about our work modes and workplace safety policies here.What does the day-to-day look like?Collaborate across Product, Design, Analytics, Research, and Engineering to build compelling ad experiences.Run A/B experiments to validate product improvements.Confidently communicate technical issues with all vital stakeholders.Lead and assist in performing product testing including unit, functional, visual, etc.In collaboration with your team, craft and improve processes that impact iOS app development across Etsy.Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require!
You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:5 + years of professional iOS development experience, ideally in a product-focused environment.Proficiency in Swift, with basic understanding of Objective-C for effective interaction.Strong product engineering skills, with the ability to understand user problems and deliver impactful solutions.Experience with iOS development, debugging tools, and practices.Effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams (e.G., Product Managers, Designers, QA, engineers).Proficiency in version control tools (git and GitHub).Unit testing experience.Ability to define and solve complex problems autonomously and collaboratively.Eagerness to learn new systems and technologies
