.Support cost estimates of equipment and tooling for new business bids, working with Program teams, Costing group and Operations personnel.- Support 'Diverse Supplier', and 'Low Cost Country' initiatives where applicable.- Prepare and submit 'requests for quote' package, manage supplier negotiations, prepare Sourcing Recommendation Forms (SRF's) and secure appropriate approvals, source new equipment and tooling.- Negotiate Engineering Changes in conjunction with the Advanced Manufacturing Engineers.- Coordination with Internal equipment and tooling centers to facilitate capacity utilization and efficiency of services.- Support ongoing operations by selecting and sourcing suppliers for equipment refurbishment, rebuild and upgrades.- Support of proper customs, tariffs/duties, taxes, shipping, and import/exports where required.- Support the relevant departments in the acceptance work, financial discussions/settlements, and participate in the verification procedures. Support contract text registration and settlement, and archiving of relevant important documents for verification.- Manage supplier payment terms with an emphasis on supplier sustainability, as well as YF cash flow optimization.- Support 'part supplier tooling' negotiations upon request of 'Direct Procurement'.- Support AME and program teams to select the optimal production processes for new business (AME leads this activity).- Continuously improve working methods, optimize operating procedures, collect historical data and share to improve work efficiency; comply with safety and environmental protection policies.- Comply with YF Purchasing policies and procedures, as well as legal & ethical obligations.- Mentor and lead other buyers to improve their effectiveness and support to more Sr. team members (as appropriate).- Meet or exceed defined cost savings/avoidance objectives.- Region of responsibility: NA or EU or AP (One region)- Support equipment and tool supplier performance evaluations. Identify and select key suppliers for equipment and tooling, considering supplier technical and program management capability, competitive pricing and financial health.- Support procurement strategy of production equipment and tooling (per program), and be responsible for the negotiation of contract commercial terms and the signing of contract text- Support commodity strategy generation and maintenance.- Support 'Cost reconciliation claims' related to supplier related failures.- Manage supplier performance issues, support red flag meetings, escalate to your manager when necessary.Education; Bachelor's Level DegreeArea of Study: Business, Supply Chain Management, EngineeringWork Experience:- 10+ Minimum Years of Experience with Engineering, Manufacturing and Procurement
