You will contribute to project plans and schedules, shaping the strategic direction of the software engineering function. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software products by overseeing software design across multiple systems and providing efficient solutions.Conditions of EmploymentQualified Applicants must reside in or around Mexico City.Able to work in person 2 days per week and as needed.Bilingual: English and Spanish.ResponsibilitiesPerform complex research, design, and software development tasks within a software functional area or product line such as Lexis+ AI.Provide direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products.Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.Complete complex bug fixes and resolve technical issues as necessary.Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.Implement successful development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.Design and work with complex data models.Keep abreast of new technology developments and interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.RequirementsPossess a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Display extensive experience in software development, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry best practices and proven success in research and delivering high-quality solutions.Be able to design and work with complex data models.Exhibit expertise in object-oriented development languages like Java or .Net (C#). Experience in front-end technologies such as Angular or React is advantageous.Demonstrate advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.G., Kanban and Scrum) and test-driven development
