We build relationships and insights to maximize product value through the full scope of our global platform.As a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will be the technical evangelist supporting customers with the adoption of our products and services. You'll play a pivotal role in showing customers the value of our solutions and closing the sale.As a Solutions Engineer II, you will be responsible for:Working closely with sales to develop opportunities through presentations, consultation, technical demonstrations, customer analysis reports and proof-of-conceptsUnderstanding customers' business goals & requirements, translate them to technical problems, and map them to Akamai solutionsBuilding trusted relationships with customers' decision-makers to articulate Akamai's value proposition and build future revenue opportunitiesParticipating in ongoing training initiatives to be up-skill yourself and train othersBeing able to travel up to 25% for client and customer meetingsTo be successful in this role you will:Have 5 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma - Bachelor's Diploma in Computer Science, or related technical fieldDemonstrate experience with Cybersecurity technologies (Network security and/or web application security, and/or Enterprise security etc.)Have knowledge or understanding in Cloud Technology or Web securityBe experienced and familiar with a customer-facing environment such as technical sales or consultingDemonstrate good written/verbal presentation skills and have the ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholdersDisplay solid problem-solving skills, a desire for results, and an appetite to learn new technologiesWork in a way that works for youFlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
