.Sourcing Manager will be responsible for- Develop and implement an effective Sourcing strategy in line with supply chain / business strategy- Develop & execute strategic sourcing partnerships to deliver on cost reduction, spend consolidation, improved DPO, Inventory and improved quality- Support execution of regional & global strategies in region (negotiation, coordination)- Develop and execute VA/VE opportunities- work with R&D and Engineering- Develop and execute make/buy decisions.- Partner with suppliers and factory to improve OTD / reduce lead time to market- Analyze right market trends and take required actions and influence decision making in factory- Evaluate best global sourcing options and develop alternate sources for at least 50% + items to drive cost and availability improvement- Support factories to overcome short, mid, long term sourcing constraints- Work on sourcing saving projects and work with stake holders to continuously improve high impact savings pipeline- Put in place consistent KPI, metrics and improvement action plans across factories- Understand and effectively communicate to internal / external stakeholders within global business trends & drivers (technological, market dynamics & business footprints)- Segment and define supply base to support trends and drivers- knowledge of supply market trends and characteristics (e.G., associations, trade publications and indexes, etc.)- Utilize commodity expertise and Commodity strategies to create/update Business Plans and Strategic Plan Metrics: incl. Cost reduction, interim negotiations, BCC objectives, supplier performance objectives, advanced technology drivers- Develop Supplier Partnerships/Strategic Alliances as necessary to support/enhance commodities strategies- Drive supplier approval process- Manage/drive commodity review of projects for all relevant commodity activities- Manage/drive supply base consolidation and rationalization to increase negotiation leverage and efficiency- Drive cash flow improvements initiatives (payment terms negotiations, consignment stock agreements, stock level rationalization, shortening LT, etc.)- Manage supplier contracts and Coordinate with legal team to ensure contractual obligations minimize risk to the Company- Travel to suppliers and other facilities as required for this position - Travelling 30% to 40% of the TimeLanguage Capabilities- Fluent English and Spanish requiredEducation Requirements- BS Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical)- MBA and/or technical masters preferredTechnical Requirements- Proficient in Excel & PowerPointExperience Requirements- Required min 7-10 years experience in sourcing or supply-chain roles in manufacturing-related industries, from welding or E&E industry will be preferred- Experience in strategy, finance, and/or project/program management desired- Ability to read prints/drawing/specifications along with technical specifications
