Zurich Capability Center is currently hiring a:
**SQL Developer**
- **SQL Proficiency**: Strong command over SQL (Structured Query Language), including knowledge of querying, filtering, joining, and aggregating data.
- **Database Design**: Understanding of database design principles such as normalization, indexing, and schema optimization.
- **Database Management Systems (DBMS)**: Experience with various DBMS platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.
- **Stored Procedures and Functions**: Proficiency in writing and optimizing stored procedures, user-defined functions, triggers, and views.
- **Performance Tuning**: Skills to optimize SQL queries and database performance through indexing, query rewriting, and database configuration.
- **ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)**: Familiarity with ETL processes to efficiently move and transform data between systems.
- **Troubleshooting and Debugging**: Ability to diagnose and resolve database-related issues like slow queries, locking, and concurrency problems.
- **Advanced English level**: Mandatory
**Good to have**:
- **Version Control**: Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing database schema changes and SQL scripts.
- **Data Security**: Knowledge of SQL security best practices, including user management, permissions, and data encryption.
- **Data Modeling**: Ability to create efficient data models and ER diagrams to represent database structures.
**MySQL Skill Set (Specific to MySQL)**:
- **SQL Syntax for MySQL**: Proficiency in using MySQL-specific SQL syntax, functions, and data types.
- **MySQL Workbench**: Familiarity with MySQL Workbench for database design, administration, and development tasks.
- **Performance Optimization**: Knowledge of MySQL-specific performance tuning techniques such as query caching, indexing strategies, and configuration settings.
- **MySQL Security**: Ability to configure MySQL security settings, manage user privileges, and implement encryption.
- **Database Monitoring**: Experience with monitoring MySQL database performance and health using tools like MySQL Enterprise Monitor or open-source alternatives.
- **Stored Procedures and Triggers**: Proficiency in creating stored procedures, functions, and triggers using MySQL syntax
**Good to have**:
- **Replication and Clustering**: Understanding of MySQL replication for high availability and scalability, as well as clustering options.
- **Backup and Recovery**: Skills to perform database backups and implement recovery strategies using tools like mysqldump or MySQL Enterprise Backup.
- **High Availability Solutions**: Knowledge of MySQL high availability solutions like MySQL InnoDB Cluster or Percona XtraDB Cluster.
**Other expectations**:
- Experience with JSON
- Experience with job schedulers
- Ability to Support / Perform End-to-End Testing
- Developers must have excellent analytical skills to understand the business requirements and design the software according to their needs
- Attention to details, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Functional knowledge in Insurance industry is a huge plus.
