Backend EngineerOur integrations team manages our third-party integrations, which allow us to ingest orders andshipments, synchronize with ERPs and dedicated financial systems, track shipments, monitor carriercompliance, and unlocks a massive network of carriers. We're a cross functional team that includes a PM,multiple backend engineers, informatica engineers, frontend engineer, qa engineer, and a productdesigner. Our major initiatives include EDI connectivity, tracking shipments using electronic loggingdevices (ELDs), and integrating with ERP systems via APIs. We'd love for you to join us and build thefuture.**What youll do when you get here**:Consistently ship high-quality code to productionBuild for perf and high availabilityEliminate alot of data entry and busywork for our most important customersClean up messes. You'll refactor our technical debt into organized, efficient servicesMaintain quality standards. Stay up to date on best practices and enforce them with codereviewsWrite beautiful Python microservices, lambdas, and workers that rely on our event architectureWork closely with product to refine ideas and turn hifi designs into realityProactively find problems or gaps in our codebase and fix themWrite unit tests**What you need to have**:A self-starter that can get stuff done with little supervision. We expect for you to fill in the blanks and work with your teammates to get it launched.Ability to empathize with our users and really listen to their requirementsStrong CS fundamentals, deep experience in a modern backend (Django, Rails, Spring), database modeling (ORM or raw), and a desire to learn and master your craftYou were raised on the cloud (AWS, GCP) and are comfortable living in a containerized world**What is Preferred**:You've worked in the logistics industryExperience with Python frameworks like Django, Flask, and Fast APIDevops Knowledge - Docker, Jenkins, TerraformExperience with an event architectureYou've written enterprise integrationsNoSQL Experience (Mongo, Redis)
