The Role
We are hiring a Sr. Checkout Sales Manager for Digital Payments to help us spread Clip's Checkout Platform in the market. The Sr. Sales Manager is responsible for managing a team of sales managers, hunting new merchants to Clip's Checkout solution (medium and large), prospecting new business, building business relationships from scratch, developing a solid pipeline of leads and potential clients, using networking to arrange meetings with potential companies, displaying a strong understanding of our clients' needs through a consultative approach, selling Clip solutions to help clients optimize their payment operations, acting as an ambassador for Clip products, working together with product, tech, and marketing teams to develop new solutions and drive new revenues to the company, advising and educating clients on upcoming products, and achieving annual targets. Experience in people management is essential, as this position will involve a team.
You will be leading, coaching, and developing the sales team to achieve the assigned goals. It is essential to work in a fast-paced, competitive, and fun environment, as well as to have excellent leadership, negotiation, analysis, and communication skills in both English and Spanish. The ideal candidate should have on their pipeline medium and large merchants, feel comfortable working in a team environment and being a team player, and work cross-functionally with product, tech, legal, marketing, operations, and finance to build new agreements and review existing partnerships.
What will I be doing?
Lead a sales team to achieve targets and results by developing strategic relationships with Merchants and decision makers.
Prospect, negotiate and close deals in a short time period.
Understand the ecommerce sales cycle.
Explore new strategic partnerships with ecommerce platforms that may support the accelerated growth of the company.
Manage internal and external stakeholders to successfully implement measurable projects and support the accelerated growth of the company.
Ideal candidate
Bachelor's degree required.
+10 years of relevant experience with emphasis in negotiation, strategic partnerships, client relationship management, and business development in the payments industry.
Previous relevant experience leading a team is required.
Experience leading and executing complex strategic and operational initiatives for organizations.
Experience with ambiguity and ability to work in a fast-changing environment with an entrepreneurial approach.
Proficiency in negotiation, business development, client relationship management, consulting services, and project management are required.
Self-driven and motivated with demonstrated leadership, analytical, negotiation, and business development skills.
Mandatory experience in the payment industry, with a proven track record of developing sales pipelines and exceeding sales targeting on digital payments (ecommerce, checkout, app, etc).
