As a Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming abstract ideas into tangible designs that revolutionize our products and services. Key Responsibilities: As a Sr Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
Breathe life into designs: Develop comprehensive documentation packages and drawing sets for mechanical components, utilizing your CAD proficiency.Master the technical realm: Analyze critical factors like weight, volume, and stress to ensure designs adhere to stringent technical specifications.Unravel the data puzzle: Locate relevant project files, operate design software with finesse, and meticulously record project data.Foster collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineers and architects to guarantee the accuracy and approval of designs.Role Responsibilities: Produces drawings and BOMs using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD) and PLM system.Designs and drafts components, assemblies and packing, and utilizes data management systems to track and report progress of assignments.Positions instructions and comments onto drawings.Completes design tasks using PLM workflows.Coordinates and oversees work of junior level design/draftsperson onsite and/or offshore.Role Purpose: Support design activities for chiller products manufactured at manufacturing plants in North America.Manage larger design projects while working closely with cross-functional departments for implementation in the factory.Minimum Requirements: Fully experienced with CREO 4 (minimum of 3 years with CREO).Fully experienced with PDM Windchill – Version 11.Solid understanding and experience with drafting standards and procedures.Experienced with the bill of material structure and databases.Experience with change management and Engineering Change Requests & Engineering Change Notices.Proven experience with complex 3D parametric modeling.Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.Experience with piping design and manufacturing processes.Experienced with Top Level Assemblies and Large Assembly Management.Some experience with electrical components and subassemblies and their function a plus.General understanding and exposure to electro-mechanical control systems and components.Has in-depth knowledge of the discipline and design role.Responsible for the quality and accuracy of work and performance in meeting hardline schedule deliverables.Join us and make a difference.
