Job Title:Sr. Finance SpecialistPosition PurposeWell versed in financial modelling and analysis this position primary focus on financial performance of stores/new projects; develops, analyzes, andinterprets the results of the financial models used to assess the financial viability of projects. Uses key financial metrics to report to top management current trends impacting the business. Ability to work in transdisciplinary and international team in different financial projects. Strong knowledge of AutoZone systems, policies, processes, and procedures. Proven skills with software packages used at AutoZone (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Rocket Shuttle, etc.).Primary Accountabilities- Recurring analysis and reporting of the latest financial results to assess the store performance of international business units by using some of the key metrics used in finance (i.E. IRR, ROIC, NPV, Store Index, etc.). In addition, this position will prepare the materials needed (i.E. PowerPoint presentations) to give visibility to the decision makers of current and future projects. Also work with the Area Manager to standardize and document the methodology used in the financial metrics to comply with the company standards.- Creating advanced and actionable models: ensure model stability, replicability, and scalability. Modelling priorities include: Proforma for new projects (i.E. Commercial, new international projects), P&L, BS, cashflow, Gross Margin, pricing optimization and placement optimization, segmentation such as cluster and factor analyses (development and marketing), among other.- Production, standardization, and distribution of reports for finance and planning for international projects (i.E. Brazil). Write management and board presentation materials related to the execution and deployment of the business strategy.- Lead special projects as identified by the VP of Int'l Finance, Vp of Functional area or Planning and Analysis Director. Examples include but are not limited to the development of international projects (i.E. Macroeconomic review, research of local market, etc.)- Work with the International team on special projects (new ventures).Education & ExperienceLevel of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.Area of Study: Accounting, Finance, Economics or Financial SystemsYears of Experience: Three to five years.Type of Experience: Financial analysis, corporate finance and planningSpecial Certifications or Technical Skills: Strong analytical midnset; excellent communication/presentation skills; well versed in financial modelling; advanced Excel and Access; very well organized andcapable to work in an international/multicultural environment; ability to develop decision making skills.Other/Preferred: Portuguese desirable, strong work ethics, flexibility/adaptability, works well under pressure. SQL queries and data warehouse knowledge are an advantage.
