Your role at BaxterThe HR Sr Manager will lead and support HR initiatives for collaborator groups at the Guadalajara Global IT center and IT talent across LATAM. In this role, the individual will build and maintain close business partnerships with the leadership teams and partner with them to develop, implement and evaluate HR programs, policies, and processes supporting the strategic objectives. Operating within the coordinated HR model, partner with various parts of the HR organization to develop and deliver appropriate services.
What you'll be doingDevelop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of strategic objectives and desired culture, providing overall leadership, direction and development of HR function including training, staffing, and compensation to implement HR strategies.Assess the efficiency of the organization's business model and organization dynamics and lead efforts to realign, refocus and transform as needed.Provide ongoing advice and counsel to all levels of the organization to resolve employee-related matters and partner with management to ensure fair and equitable solutions are implemented and issues are resolved.Prepare expense reports as needed by Company policies (daily, weekly, monthly, annually) and audit areas under responsibility, document findings and suggestions to improve processes; assuring compliance with internal and external regulations and standards.Drive organization-wide talent planning initiatives (in partnership with Corporate Talent Management) including profiling, assessment, calibration, development planning, and interpersonal planning.Ensure coordinated HR systems including compensation and performance management are implemented.Manage and lead all aspects of the implementation and administration of Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Program in compliance with federal and local agencies and build and implement community relations programs.Lead administration of HR-related activities within the site and public events.Ensure the compensation program practices for the plant are internally equitable and competitive to build the adequate environment towards optimum levels of performance.Serve as local point of contact for benefit programs.What you'll bringBachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology; Master's Degree desirable.8+ years of experience in a Human Resources Management position at an exempt level.Hands-on experience in understanding, administering, and implementing local and federal labor law and regulations.Excellent communication in English and Spanish, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a changing environment.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.Excellent mathematical skills and ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
