They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.What your background should look like:Requirements:Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent is preferred.5 years of work experience on manufacturing, specifically cable assemblies for power applications.Experience with applicable systems (SAP, TLM, CAD etc.) and familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Strong experience to understand industry document specifications like US-CAR & IPC620.Strong understanding of cable making technology, stamping and plating technology, HSG molding technology, metal and plastic raw material characteristics.Experience on product tolerance analysis, stability using verify data analysis the processes, such as the CPK.Expertise with the product development process, able to provide DFM, SOP, PFMEA, BOP, CTAR required for each phase according to the project schedule.Experience with the equipment capability in the cable assembly process, and independent to complete the equipment capacity improvement, and be familiar with the improvement of product efficiency by IE knowledge.Working knowledge of manual, semi-automatic and automatic assembly processes.Responsibilities:New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead the successful transfer of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing Operations, ensuring seamless integration of processes and systems.LEANPD Driven New Product Development: Strong player a pivotal role in LEANPD driven new product development projects, ensuring strong impact and adherence to Lean principles throughout the process
