The Software Test Engineer will contribute to the test efforts for solutions provided for Toshiba's Point of Sale (POS) clients.**Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of**:- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.- 6+ Years' of experience in full software development life cycle.- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control and testing- Experience in analyzing, designing, implementing and troubleshooting software solutions for highly transactional systems.- Hands-on testing background- Experience in Test Automation (Basic)- Experience with Agile development methodology- Responsible, organized and hard working- HW knowledge & configuration- Strong knowledge of Linux systems (command line, internals, and build process)- Strong knowledge of shell scripting- Able to follow established guidelines and procedures, and meet deadlines- Detailed Oriented, meticulous in structuring and following procedures- Highly motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills- Leadership skills- Able to learn not standard technologies- Strong communication skills and team player with can-do attitude.- Customer Facing interest- Traceability Matrix**Preferred experience**:- Automation skills- Python knowledge- Java knowledge**What you will be doing**:- Review custom software design documents and participate in design review discussions. Review Agile functional specifications.- Create test cases from software design documents.- Execute test cases, report defects and track defect resolutions. Perform automation/API testing using internal and external tools (Postman, Cucumber, etc.).
