As part of the GE Aerospace Infrastructure separation workstream, the Sr Staff Architect - Tools & Automation, is a temporary role that will support the separation of GE Aerospace into an independent, investor-grade company.**Roles and Responsibilities**In this role, you will:- Help drive tools strategy which sets the state for a comprehensive tools & automation strategy.- Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving hardware, software, and other issues affecting the network and devices- Implementing disaster recovery environments and networks, DR procedures, and testing- Perform on-going assessment and analysis of the company's data communication needs of the identify and recommend solutions to ensure the underlying architecture of all networks (LAN/WAN, WLAN, SDN) results in maximum performance and functionality- Install, configure, and manage network tools and solutions within Aerospace Network ecosystem- Conduct ongoing IT infrastructure monitoring to ensure SLA uptime, analyze issues and problems across the network infrastructure, providing technical solutions and resolving issues affecting the operation and performance of the network- Assist with identification, implementation, and operating the infrastructure and security monitoring tools- Stay up to date with technology industry changes performing technical reviews of new technologies and upgrades to assist in keeping the organizations infrastructure up to date and optimized to provide the best support for the customer- Work with IT team to help develop, make recommendations, and conduct research on emerging cloud technologies and cloud networking to support infrastructure development efforts- Develop, maintain, and enhance documentation of the network infrastructure and security including design documents, operations documents, troubleshooting guides and training materials- Support, monitor and maintain SSO / SAML compliance, VPN, APIs, and other tools- Analyze customer or vendor solutions for security and standard compliance**Required Qualifications**:Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experienceMinimum 5 years of professional experience in Distinct Area of Work (DAW) or ITNote: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience**Eligibility Requirements**:- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. or Great Britain is required.
