Manage execution with our Contract Manufacturer's (CM's) local site. Drive day-to-day operations to ensure on-time product delivery and other key operational performance indicators. Drive CM site performance improvements, organizational alignment, and business process efficiencies.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set operational performance targets and meet / exceed performance.
- Ensure capacity is in place to meet customer deliveries.
- Deliver on quarterly revenue goals, working with end-to-end Itron Supply Chain organization.
- Drive forecast/demand at CM working with Planning.
- Manage day-to-day backlog, working with Planning, and drive escalations to resolve issues and meet on-time shipment (OTS).
- Monitor CM supply chain health including MRP execution and inventory (OPO and OH) levels.
- Manage excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory review and disposition.
- Support quarterly revenue upsides / maximization.
- Plan and execute ECO cut-ins to minimize production disruptions and optimize inventory disposition (use-up, scrap).
- Partner with Procurement and CM to drive component shortage resolution.
- Participate in supply chain risk mitigation strategy development.
- Generate and present operational performance metrics to suppliers and manage associated corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with NPI operations to transition variants into production.
- Program manage, improve, and optimize Itron-CM operational processes.
- Work with internal and external customers to prioritize and manage resource constraints and trade-offs.
- Develop and maintain CM operational relationships via site visits, regular meetings, etc. Partner with Procurement and broader Supply Chain organization on QBR preparation and delivery. Drive monthly CM Operations review with local CM site.
- Perform and/or evaluate root cause problem resolution for CM supply chain related issues and ensure the integrity of corrective actions. Organize and execute regular supplier site evaluations and support audits.
- Availability to be physically onsite on short notice to drive Itron priorities with the CM or to support CM escalations and address production emergencies. Owner of the CM site from an Itron Supply Chain Operations perspective. First line of defense for operational business issues and escalations from the CM.
- Review, negotiate, approve and facilitate CM payment for NRC (non-recurring costs) such as light tooling / equipment, material PPV, material expedites, material re-valuation, and inventory carrying costs
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
